...what a sexy bum...

The funniest thing happened over the weekend. Wollie and myslef had to go and meet family friends in the morning and of course had to make use of the public transport. At one of the bus stops we looked outside and saw this cute little bum in pink hot pants...Wollie got all excited, pointed the bum out to me and said, "yowzers check out that sexy bum"...as the person turned around it was an old wrinkly man with long blonde hair and then we also spotted his partner. I laughed so much I couldn't contain myself. Apparently these guys are pretty well know in Munich, they look identical, wear short hot pants, sleeveless shirts in different colours and always seem to be in a hurry. I managed to sneakily take some pics of them...

...dinner time...

As you know we haven't had a kitchen since we moved in and therefore had to eat unhealthy fast food for  a while. We have been good though and done some grocery shopping and tried to make something at home using only our kettle, which mainly consisted of two minute noodles and cut up tomatoes. We thought that our kitchen would be finished on Wednesday and therefore mentally prepared for healthy home cooked food, but the guys didn't finish and they are only coming back today. We couldnt stand another cup of 2 minute noodels and decided to go out for dinner at restaurants within walking distance to our house.

On Wednesday night we went to this Italian place called Vapiano. It's a canteen style restaurant where you get a tray and order from a counter and everything gets put on a card which you pay at the end....it was delicious and I forgot to take pictures of our food.

And last night we went to this little local pub called "Der Hüttenwirt." The food was amazing, we had the special of the day which was Rindergoulash mit spätzle. The place is cosy and warm inside, we had nice cold beers and a cute waitress in a traditional dirndl.

...whats the time?...

I bought these awesome watches in Venice. The brand is called O Clock and they make silicon watches in fifteen different colours and three sizes: S, M, L, check out the website fullspot.it. They have interchangeable faces and I wish I had more moneys to buy every colour, but I eventually settled on the black and grey bands with a turquise face. I have a feeling that I might oder some more colours from the interweb some time soon.

...holidays are just too much fun...

Last Thursday was a public holiday and we decided to take a trip to Italy. Sven and Wollie took the Friday off and we packed our suitcases and off we went to Venice, via Lake Garda and Verona. It was amazing, but I can't write up our entire holiday trip cause there is just too much to tell and explain. The places we saw were beautiful and the food we ate was to die for... so here are some pictures and you guys will understand...words do the place no justice.

Lake Garda
The scenic route

There isn't enough space for everyone on the road and there are cyclist everywhere...it freaked me out.

The top picture is the road from James Bond Quantum of Solace.
The narrow roads up to the  'Schauder Terasse' where there isn't enough space for two cars to fit but you juts have to make a plan and do it...best option...hoot when you drive around bends.

There are cherry trees next to the road so we helped ourselves to some...
Best pizza we had in Italy on this trip.

Verona
top pictures: city wall and the Arena
bottom pics: the shopping streets...

More pretty streets and statues

At Juliette's balcony. Its full of graffiti and the eternity locks. We even wrote our names on the wall behind the statue of Juliette and rubbed her boob (apparently its for good luck)
and more prettiness

Venice
Arriving at Venice...wow

Hot gondolier guy charging tourist 80euros for a trip...

Wollie and me having Spaghetti Bolognese under the Realto Bridge...priceless.

food food food

St Marco square

exploring the city

Happy hour at a bar where they collect bra's,very cute.
More city scenes...

Realto Bridge and St Marco Square from the water.
We took water taxis and I wasn't feeling too good, they make you really nauseous.
Lido, the beach where there are waay to many old topless frumpled ladies.

Glass Island, Murano, which is amazing. Colleen spent all her money here :)

We went to this amazing restaurant on our last night which took us over an hour to find cause you keep getting lost in all the little alleys. but it was so worth it. yummy.

...oompa oompa oompa...

A couple of weekends ago was the Trudering Festwoche and seeing that we lived in Trudering for a month we thought we just had to go and see. So Svelleen, Wollie and myself made our way there and it was great fun. We ate traditional German food (currywurst and pommes) and drank waaaaay to much beer. Tropical Rain entertained us for the evening with all sorts of music and when we had enough beer in our system we even danced.
On our way home Wollie saved me from getting a fine for drunken jaywalking. I totally didn't see the row of cops standing at the entrance and just wanted to run over the road to get to the bus stop instead of walking down the road and crossing over at the traffic light. Wollie wouldn't come with me, and when I turned to see what his problem was, I saw him staring at a row of cops that were laughing at me.  When I eventually walked over to Wollie, the cop just looked at Wollie and said..."great save".

They even played my cousin Nora's favourite song...So Nora, this ones especially for you.

...its been a while, check out our new little housie...

Wow, its been waaay to long since my last blog post and I am sorry. It's been rather hectic, me finally moved into our own new place, don't have internet, got a bit of furniture, went to Venice for a long weekend and now I am at my sisters place in North Germany helping her with wedding preparations.

Good news is that I have loads of stuff to blog about and I will start with our new place...Seeing that we came over with only our suitcases and my computer, the new house thing is a work in progress and we get some things every month. This month we got a bed and TV...and the essentials like bedding, crockery, cutlery, vacuum cleaner etc...

So here are some pics... The house is completely newly renovated and everything is shiny and new...we are still waiting for our kitchen and our towel rails in the bathroom....
This is our entrance hall taken from the front door, the door in front is to the bathroom to the left is the living room to the right the main bedroom. The kitchen and guestroom is next to the front door to your right.

The living room with a small balcony...

The bathroom....(we still need to get some light fittings, and we don't have a bath :( )

Our bedroom...which at the moment is the only semi furnished room...

 The guestroom....

Our non kitchen with a tiny balcony...they are coming to install the kitchen on Tuesday, currenlty we have 2 big boxes and a fridge, so eating fast food every night.

Then we started furnishing the place....IKEA delivery, everything comes in seperate boxes and you have to build it together....fun and frustraiting...

The boys getting everything into our tiny little lift...Thanks for your help Sven.

Wollie bought  set of tools so everything would be easier and oh boy they really helped A LOT!

The instruction manual is a little booklet of about 30pages...

Wollie trying to figure it all out...

This is the base of the bed, called lattenrost and its a mission, each little piece has to be built together...

and tadaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....our new pretty HUGEass bed...
