...holidays are just too much fun...

Last Thursday was a public holiday and we decided to take a trip to Italy. Sven and Wollie took the Friday off and we packed our suitcases and off we went to Venice, via Lake Garda and Verona. It was amazing, but I can't write up our entire holiday trip cause there is just too much to tell and explain. The places we saw were beautiful and the food we ate was to die for... so here are some pictures and you guys will understand...words do the place no justice.

Lake Garda
The scenic route

There isn't enough space for everyone on the road and there are cyclist everywhere...it freaked me out.

The top picture is the road from James Bond Quantum of Solace.
The narrow roads up to the  'Schauder Terasse' where there isn't enough space for two cars to fit but you juts have to make a plan and do it...best option...hoot when you drive around bends.

There are cherry trees next to the road so we helped ourselves to some...
Best pizza we had in Italy on this trip.

Verona
top pictures: city wall and the Arena
bottom pics: the shopping streets...

More pretty streets and statues

At Juliette's balcony. Its full of graffiti and the eternity locks. We even wrote our names on the wall behind the statue of Juliette and rubbed her boob (apparently its for good luck)
and more prettiness

Venice
Arriving at Venice...wow

Hot gondolier guy charging tourist 80euros for a trip...

Wollie and me having Spaghetti Bolognese under the Realto Bridge...priceless.

food food food

St Marco square

exploring the city

Happy hour at a bar where they collect bra's,very cute.
More city scenes...

Realto Bridge and St Marco Square from the water.
We took water taxis and I wasn't feeling too good, they make you really nauseous.
Lido, the beach where there are waay to many old topless frumpled ladies.

Glass Island, Murano, which is amazing. Colleen spent all her money here :)

We went to this amazing restaurant on our last night which took us over an hour to find cause you keep getting lost in all the little alleys. but it was so worth it. yummy.
