...biking round 2...

On Sunday we went on another Mountain bike trip. We drove to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and cycled up to the Eibsee, where we swam in crystal clear water, took awesome pic, cycled back and had a yummy lunch at a Alm. It was AMAZING!!! Wow...

...barcelona baby....

For my birthday I was spoilt with a trip to Barcelona and last weekend we finally made our way there.

We flew Thursday after work and spent 3 whole glorious days in the vibrant city. So much to see and do in so little time. Here is what we got up to.

On Friday we were the typical tourist and did the red bus tour through the city and saw all the things we needed to. On Saturday we hired a red Vespa and raced through the city. It was too much fun. Think it might just be the next thing we invest in :) And on Sunday we had planned a beach day, but with our luck it rained the ENTIRE day. So we spent the day shopping, sleeping and drinking beer. It was great.

The stunning garden complex, Park Guell,  designed by Antoni Gaudi.

The great market square with loads of fresh food and fish and yummy goodness....

Our new dream vehicle....

At the top of Montjuic....best view of the city

One of many tapas bars...we ate ourself silly

...thats why we call it mountain biking...

Never thought the day would come but it has and I now own a Mountain bike. We planned to do the Isartrails last Sunday and wanted to rent a bike BUT ended up with a sparkly new bike with my name on it.

So on Sunday Biene, Basti, Svelleen, Alex, Bogger, Wollie and I went on a cycling mission. We met at 12.00 at the Zoo and made our way through the mud, sludge, hills, mountains and more hills all the way up to the Schäftlarn Abbey (Kloster Schäftlarn)We ate at a beautiful fish restaurant next to the river and had the best fish ever, probably because we were totally exhausted and hungry.

Then we had to go all the way back to where we started which was exhausting but great fun. Planning our next trip on Sunday. That one will be in the mountains :)

...Marzipan land...

We have been meaning to go and visit Peter and Sophie and a while ago we finally managed to do so. They live in a little town called Lübeck, which is situated in the north of Germany and is the farther if Marzipan. Wollie and me embarked on a 6hrs train ride and travelled all across the country for a weekend with our friendlies.

We had such a great weekend, explored Lübeck and its little shops and bars, went to Hamburg and had a looooong lunch with Mark and Sarah, visited the Reeperbahn, had a braai next to the lake and even went to the beach (Ostsee) on Sunday. Here is our fabulous weekend in pictures. Thanks guys...it was great!

...I lost my heart in Amsterdam...

Sorry it has taken so long but here is my round up of Amsterdam. Man what a city.

It has the cutest shops, alleys, hot people, great food, stunning little bridges and loads of quirky coffee shops etc... What a great place.

The 5 girls and I made our way through Germany in a huge van and lots of junk food. We spent Thursday and Friday browsing through the city, exploring all the cute places and even went to the Van Gogh Museum.

On Saturday it was soccer time. It was freezing cold and wet and miserable, but we supported our Avantgarde team all the way, while dancing to hiphop, drinking beer and freezing our butts off.
