Had lunch by myself again today (yes, super sad face) and went to this amazing salad bar called dean&david. I had a warm grilled vegetable salad and it was yumyumyum. I found the germany be-leaf and pretended to have lunch with Karen and Debbie... miss you girls loads.

...round 2...
Ok, so today is my first work function...we are going to the Oktoberfest and Avantgarde reserved a box at the Paulaner bierzelt, also knows as the Winzerer Fähndl. I am geared with wristbands, one for entrance into the tent and one for free booze and food...can I get a heehaa! I am scared and nervous, cannot loose my name under the tables in my second week of work. But here it goes, dirndl in bag and beerdrinking cap on.

...beer, beer and more beer...
On Sunday we forced our tired hungover bodies out of bed and carried on...as you do. It was the official Oktoberfest parade through the streets of Munich but it was miserable weather, rainy and cold, so we only watched a bit of the parade and then we met Heike and Michael and 2 of their friends at the Hofbrauhaus Munich...wow...and did we drink a lot of beer.. In our drunkenness we started doing the polonaise through the Festhalle and had a bunch of people joining us, but the unfriendly German bouncers asked us to please sit down and behave. Booooring guy...the lead oompa man actually came to us afterwards and apologised, he said they have to be boring and civilized, rules are rules. blah blah!

...get the Oktoberfest started...
my oh my...what a day. We were told by numerous Germans that we should get up super early and head on over to the Wiesn to stand in a queue and hope for a spot in the tents. It was rainy and cold on Saturday so we ended up only leaving the house round 9, all relaxed, and when we finally got there we walked around the Augustiner tent to a little side door, a guy checked our bags and BOOM we were in. No mission, no queue, no nothing...just a full tent of thirsty tourists. Then we missioned to find a table and again we found one quick quick and sat down and waited for the first beer. It was too much fun, we drank waaay too much, ate waaay too much and danced waaay to little.
This was our waitress, oldish lady and she can carry 10 mass...

...catch up time...
Sorry for the lack of posting but I started my new job and things got pretty hectic last week. Annette came to visit which was totally awesome and this is a pic of the three of us at the Holy Home bar.
Then the next night the three of us went to explore the city and find some dinner, we missioned all the way to the English Garden (wollie geared up in his lederhosen) but when we got there the food looked about 3 days old and the vibe was boring and ended up going to a restaurant in town which was terrible. I don't know what it was called , but we had bad service, bad food and bad vibes all round and therefore we ended our evening pretty early with no pictures.
